World, Mind and Body

 Side note in the Spiritual Journey

Thousands of books have already been written about the world, mind and body. Therefore, there is not much to say about them here, but mention is necessary.

In the play of Maya, the Spiritual journey is also one of the acts amongst many. But one of the best features of this act is that it shows a way out of this Maya.  This game can be played only by Maya's instruments, so it is necessary to know a little about them, but we have to know about these instruments only as much as necessary so that it aids our progression in this journey.  Otherwise, the study of these tools is so exciting and fascinating that it can make us fall into a beautiful trap of Maya, which would demand thousands of birth's effort to come out of it.

Maya (nature) controls this mind and body. Self-knowledge does not require any special discipline of body or mind but demands only an intense desire to acquire the knowledge of Self. This statement may be different from the scriptures, but it is being written out of the experience; hence each seeker can have their own ideology.

The mind and body are advantageous in smooth functioning in this world, but they have their own limitations; hence, they are being referred to here in this way.

Body
The body is a wonderful and complex device, due to which human beings have been able to achieve commendable feats. The parts of this device also have memory, but this device cannot function without the mind's consciousness. It definitely needs care but as much only per the requirements, which is different for every person. This device is the most special gift of nature. Although it is just a device, humans cannot replicate this, which is being tried in many world-famous scientific laboratories.

Mind

A collection of thoughts, which can be categorized as, Intellect, Imagination, Memory, Ego and Reflected Consciousness. These categories of mind are so powerful that they appear to have their own entity.  And for this reason, the ego, which is only a thought, gives an illusion of a different person. This ego thought or feeling of doership arises only after the act is done. Failure to examine this and opposite conditioning by society has created the greatest limitation and is the reason for most of the world's problems. 

Hence in this journey, it is necessary to contemplate a little about this ego, which will be discussed in our next step.
